Posted Tuesday, October 9, 2007 HCS Grad inducted into Honor Society and Will Study Abroad in Oxford, England HCS grad, Kyle Brooks inducted into the National College Honor Scholarship Society. Azusa Pacific University, in a special ceremony on October 4, inducted Kyle Brooks (HCS Alumni 2005) into Alpha Chi, the National College Honor Scholarship Society. “The California Gamma Chapter of Alpha Chi is a fellowship of more than 300,000 members for some 300 college and university chapters. These chapters promote scholarly achievement and high character on their campuses as well as in the academic community at large. Members of Alpha Chi, identified and elected by the faculty, were ranked in the top 10 percent of the undergraduate juniors and seniors, grad students, and students in adult professional programs. They represent the best scholarship in all academic fields. The juniors at APU had to have a minimum 3.81 GPA to be considered for this honor. In addition, Kyle was just accepted to study spring semester 2008 at Oxford, England.
Kyle shares, “I am so grateful for both the academic and life preparation I learned while at Hillcrest. At Hillcrest, I learned to work hard, write well (Thanks Mrs. Horan!), and think critically. All of these things have no doubt contributed to my success thus far.” |
