New School Board News Section Launched
Keep in touch with school board announcements, agendas, and minutes online.

In an effort to improve communication with the Hillcrest school family, the HCS Board of Directors has launched a new section in our news web, "School Board News" . This section will contain announcements of interest, and links to meeting agendas and board meeting minutes.

The Board also recently discussed the effectiveness of having a Town Hall Meeting, as the attendance has been extremely low with only 8 in attendance for each meeting the last two years. As a result of that discussion the Board of Directors decided to discontinue the Town Hall meeting as a required annual meeting and began to explore other means of keeping the school families informed and involved with our school. The School Board News section grew out of that discussion as a means of continuing to improve communications with the HCS family.

Our goal is to make every attempt to post meeting agendas prior to the meetings and to post meeting minutes after the minutes are approved. We will post these documents in two places: the web site and on the bulletin board in the hallway across from the accounting office, where minutes have been posted in the recent past.

In addition, we have added a special contact form to both the School Board News section and the general board web page to make it easy for you to contact all board members with your questions or comments. When you submit a contact form from these pages every board member will receive your note. A representative of the board will then contact you to address your question or comment.
