SPOTLIGHT ON NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY
Hillcrest Christian School National Honor Society Chapter serving the community.

On Wednesday, March 9th, the Hillcrest Chapter of the National Honor Society visited the Ventura County Rescue Mission in Oxnard. One of the fundamental principles of the National Honor Society is to show others the love of Christ through service, so our chapter has pledged to do at least one group service project per month. At the Rescue Mission, we helped with food preparation,which included peeling veggies and fruits, and shucking corn. We also had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation while we served lunch to the guests. Kyle Brooks, our NHS president, led everyone in prayer. We enjoyed the appreciative and optimistic attitude of everyone there, and we can't wait to go back!!
