Posted Wednesday, March 29, 2006 First Annual HCS Autumn Home and Garden Tour Get in on the ground floor of this exciting new HCS event. Key Leaders needed to launch this fun and potentially profitable house and garden tour scheduled for September 23, 2006. HCS is excited to announce that we have initiated planning for our First Annual HCS Autumn Home and Garden Tour. We are planning a first class event with four home tours and a holiday/gift boutique. To kick off our inaugural tour, HCS has been blessed with four families that have generously agreed to share their beautiful homes. If you have ever attended a home tour, you know that this is a great way to spread local community awareness in a relaxed enjoyable setting, not to mention that home tours are a popular and profitable form of fund raising.
We have scheduled the HCS Autumn Home and Garden Tour for Saturday September 23rd, 2006, with homes located in the Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks area.
DonnaRae Caccavo is chairing the event and she would greatly appreciate your assistance.
We have many opportunities available for you to get involved and earn volunteer hours, yes you! Committees are forming in the following areas (and more may be added as we get closer to the event). We would like to have the coordinators identified by April 14, so we can get a jump on planning.
Public Relation Coordinator - Responsible for overall event notification, writing press releases, contacting newspapers and final distribution of posters and advertisement media developed by the Marketing Committee. Assist homeowners if required in obtaining city permits and notifying adjacent neighbors of HCS Autumn Home and Garden Tour event.
Marketing Coordinator - Responsible for developing and printing brochures, tickets, posters/flyers, maps, and location signage for distribution. Will also coordinate placement and, tear down of signage on the day of the HCS Autumn Home and Garden Tour and advanced ticket sales.
Refreshments Coordinator - Responsible for coordinating refreshment arrangements and sponsorship.
Boutique Coordinator - Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the gift boutique; including but not limited to securing vendor commitments, selecting the best home location and support logistics.
