On Wednesday, October 25th, 225 runners from 16 different schools competed in the Omega/Heritage Cross Country League Championships at Griffith Park.  The HCS girls cross country team finished the season in 1st place and will advance to the CIFSS Cross Country Prelims on Saturday, Nov. 11th.  The HCS boys team finished off the season in 3rd place and sophomore Nik Day will advance to the CIFSS Cross Country Prelims on Nov. 11th.  Here are the results for the race:

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Shelby Little – 1st place overall and 1st place in league – Omega League Champion
Coleen Alballat – 7th place overall and 3rd place in league – 1st team all Omega League
Ashley Hume – 11th place overall and 5th place in league – 1st team all Omega League
Madison Hagge – 14th place overall and 6th place in league – 1st team all Omega League
Tania Vieira – 39th place overall and 16th place in league<

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

Nik Day – 13th place overall and 3rd place in league – 1st team all Omega League
Ross Milton – 31st place overall and 9th place in league – 2nd team all Omega League
Danny Rettinger – 57th place overall and 14th place in league – 2nd team all Omega League
Will Little – 65th place overall and 18th place in league
