Hillcrest Christian Elementary Cheer

Hillcrest cheer is stacked and ready to bring energy to every game! With 8 high school cheerleaders and 9 middle school members, our squad combines experience and fresh talent to create an unstoppable team.
Leading the Saints is Suzanne Hume, our secondary principal and former D1 cheerleader at the University of Arizona. Coach Hume teaches routines three mornings a week before school, while empowering the team captain to lead routines during games, instilling leadership, responsibility, and teamwork.

Our cheerleaders keep the spirit high in the stands at every high school home football game and home basketball game. They also create a unique leadership opportunity for younger Saints by mentoring Kinder through 6th-grade cheerleaders, who this year will join the squad for a performance at our Homecoming game. Even our preschoolers in the stands look up to them, shaking their poms and trying to imitate these role models, making cheer an inspiration across all grade levels.
