Athlete / Parent Code of Conduct Form

Please Complete One form per child and submit by September 23rd, 2022
    Dear Athletes and Parents,

Our goal at Hillcrest Christian School is to create a positive and safe experience for all athletes and families who join our athletic program. We desire to bring glory to God in all that we do! (1 Cor. 10:31) The following Expectations and Behavior Plan were developed to ensure that all athletes enjoy a safe and fun environment in athletics during practices and games.
    HCS Expectations

    1. Be respectful - All athletes and families are expected to be respectful and kind to all players, coaches, fans, officials at the game and property. No inappropriate language or behavior is allowed towards other players, parents (fans), coaches or officials.

    2. Be obedient - All athletes and families are expected to be obedient and follow directions from coaches, school staff and game officials.

    3. Be prepared and on-time - All athletes are expected to bring their uniform and all necessary equipment to participate in the contest. You must be on-time for all games and practices.

    4. Encourage peers - All athletes and families are encouraged to display good sportsmanship. Please refrain from blaming, booing, heckling and confronting any players, coaches or officials about a game outcome.

    5. Communication - All athletes and families will contact the coach and athletic director to discuss their concerns and/or questions. Please communicate through an email or a phone call.

    6. Due to the nature of competitive sports I realize my child may not be guaranteed playing time.

In the event that your child is having a difficult time meeting the athletic program expectations, the
following behavior and disciplinary plan will be implemented to help create a positive and God-honoring environment for your child and other athletes in the athletic program.

    HCS Behavior and Disciplinary Plan

    1.
A coach will limit an athlete’s playing or practice time if the athlete exhibits poor sportsmanship by way of language/attitude, if the athlete exhibits any form of harassment, or if the athlete exhibits misconduct through any other means. The administration will also be involved on a case-by-case basis to determine if further consequences are necessary.

    2. At minimum, two unexcused tardy appearances or one unexcused missed practice will result in the athlete missing a start. Each subsequent unexcused tardy appearance or absence (game or practice) will result in the athlete missing a game.

Please note that 3 disciplinary actions may result in your child being suspended from playing in their team’s contest(s). HCS Administration and the Athletic Director will determine the consequence(s).
By typing your name below you are signing this contract and acknowledging that you understand and agree to the terms of the HCS Behavior Expectations and Disciplinary Plan

    Dear Hillcrest High School Families,

We would like to partner with you as you prepare for these special events by providing you with clear expectations in regard to the dress code. We do understand that it is often difficult to find outfits that are modest and appropriate, but we thank you in advance for your cooperation with us. We have included guidelines for both young ladies and young gentlemen. Please note, if a student plans to bring a guest who is not an HCS student, the guest is also expected to abide by this dress code and must be interviewed and approved by Mrs. Thatcher by the assigned deadlines.

Please take a few minutes to read through this information and discuss it with your daughter or son. Thank you for partnering with us to make this evening special for all of our students!
