Early Ed Chapel Week of September 15, 2025

This week in our Bible lesson (Lesson 5-A), we focused on Trust/Faith—specifically the idea that we can trust God even when we don't understand what is happening, just like Noah did.

We talked about how Noah followed God's instructions even when they didn’t make sense then. We saw a powerful example of faith in action through his obedience and trust.
To bring this lesson to life, Mrs. Contreras led Chapel in an object lesson about trust. She selected a student volunteer who trusted her, gently blindfolded them, and guided them around obstacles like chairs and tables. Finally, she brought them to a chair and asked if they believed it was there, even though they couldn’t see it. Then she asked them to sit down, trusting her word.

This powerful moment helped the students understand that even when we can’t see what’s ahead, we can still trust that God is guiding and caring for us—just like Noah did!

Our memory verse for the week is: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”  Hebrews 11:6a

Dear Families,

This week, we had a very special Chapel experience that our students are still talking about! Our First Responder Chapel was a meaningful and memorable time for everyone.

Mrs. Arredondo shared an excellent lesson on the Good Samaritan, helping the children understand what it means to love and serve others. We were also honored to welcome her husband, Deputy Arredondo, and his partner, Deputy Raad, who spoke to the students about the importance of service and how first responders help keep our community safe.
The students loved having them visit! After Chapel, our Early Education classes joined the elementary students outside to meet and interact with various first responders, to meet them, and to see all their equipment. Each student also received a badge sticker, which made them feel like honorary helpers—it was such a joyful and exciting moment!
We are so grateful for our community partnerships and the opportunities we have to teach our little ones about kindness, bravery, and service in such meaningful ways.

Memory Verse this week: “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Dear Early Education Families,

This week in Chapel, we continued our journey through the Bible with Session 2-A: Love – Adam & Eve! We began with an object lesson using a gift-wrapped present. The children were curious and excited as we asked, “What do you think is inside?” One of our teachers carefully unwrapped the box, and inside was… a mirror! Why a mirror? Because we wanted each child to see that God’s most incredible creation is THEM!

We reminded our preschoolers that just like Adam and Eve, they are lovingly created by God in His image—fearfully, wonderfully made.
Our memory verse for the week was:

Genesis 1:31a – "And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good."

To help plant these truths deep in their hearts, we sang and danced to:
“He’s Got the Whole World”
“Oh, He Loves Me”

These songs brought big smiles and joyful hearts as we worshiped together!

We encourage you to talk with your child about Chapel this week. Ask them what they saw in the “present,” and remind them how loved and special they are in God’s eyes.

Thank you for partnering with us as we help plant seeds of faith in these precious little hearts.

Dear Early Education Families,

We had a wonderful time together in the chapel this week as we kicked off our first chapel lesson of the year — Lesson 1-A: Creation. It was such a joy to see the children’s eyes light up as we explored the truth that God made the world and everything in it in six days, and on the seventh day, He rested (Genesis 1).
We began our time with an object lesson, using the Bible to help the children understand:
  • What is the Bible?
  • Who wrote it?
  • Who is God?
To bring the Creation Story to life, we used flannel board visuals to walk through each of the six days of creation — and the seventh day of rest. The children were captivated as each scene unfolded: light and darkness, the sky and sea, the land and plants, the sun, moon, stars, the birds and fish, the animals, and finally, people. They loved watching the world come together piece by piece, and we took special time to reflect on all the good things God made — including them!

Our Memory Verse this week was:
“And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
— Genesis 1:31

During worship, the children joyfully sang:
  “Everybody Everywhere” by Jana Alayra
“When I Look Up” by KidSpring
Ask your child to sing them for you — you might even get a mini concert in your living room!
