Our sports program is committed to exhibiting a Christ-like spirit along with athletic excellence.  Recent teams have been league champions and have gone to post-season games. Our coaches are committed to helping to mold the athlete’s character as well as his/her athletic abilities.

Omega League Track Finals 2018

On Friday, May 4th the track & field team competed in the Omega League track finals at West LA College.  The girls team had a great day and finished in second place.  Senior Abi Hume led the way and was this year’s Omega League Female Athlete of the meet.  She was 1st in the 100m, 1st in the 200m, 1st in the high jump and 1st in the 4x100m relay.

The Hillcrest varsity track team had a league meet on Wednesday 4/25 at West LA College. The athletes have been working hard and are starting to peak at the right time of the season. There were 13 personal records at the meet today and with the league finals next Friday, 5/4, the Saints are expecting to have a good showing. read more…

8th Grade Basketball

The Saints played Ventura Missionary School’s 8th-grade basketball team Wednesday, January 24 at 5:10 pm at their home gym off of Foothill. It was sobering driving up and seeing leftover fire damage and the missing houses; please continue to pray for the broken lives to be put back together. This was a hard-fought game. read more…

HILLCREST’S 2017 OMEGA LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP VARSITY FOOTBALL TEAM IS PLAYOFF BOUND

The varsity football team won their final regular season game on Friday afternoon, October 27, against Westmark School 74 – 20. The Saints took an early 1st quarter lead 32-6 behind touchdowns by Chris Alballat, Bryan Salgado and Yaiden Ochoa. The team never looked back. The team extended their lead in the 2nd quarter 60-12 behind more touchdowns by Hunter Wiemann, Bryan Salgado and Insu Park.

Girls’ Cross Country Team Finishes Season in First Place

On Wednesday, October 25th, 225 runners from 16 different schools competed in the Omega/Heritage Cross Country League Championships at Griffith Park.  The HCS girls cross country team finished the season in 1st place and will advance to the CIFSS Cross Country Prelims on Saturday, Nov. 11th.  The HCS boys team finished off the season in 3rd place and sophomore Nik Day will advance to the CIFSS Cross Country Prelims on Nov. 11th.  Here are the results for the race:

The Cross Country Team ran at Central Park in Valencia. 60 girls and 140 boys competed in the races. Here are the results for the Saints.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRL’S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM! The girls finished in 1st place!
Shelby Little – 1st place in league; and 1st place overall
Colleen Alballat – 3rd place in league; 9th place overall
Ashley Hume – 4th place in league; 12th place overall
Madison Hagge – 6th place in league; 17th overall

Track League Championships Results

On Friday, May 5th,  the track team had their league championships. The boys’ team finished in 4th place with 33 points.  The girls’ team was this year’s runners-up with 122 points falling just 20 points shy of the championship. All of the event winners have qualified for the CIF Prelims which will take place next Saturday, May 13th, at Carpinteria High School. read more…

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, three Hillcrest Christian School Saints announced their official college sports signings and one more is in process for playing in the fall, capping off fantastic senior sports campaigns. Saturday, November 12, our girls’ volleyball team defeated Lake Arrowhead three games to one in the CIFSS Division 10 championship competition. This is a historic accomplishment for our school and our team! We are so proud of our champions and their coaches not only for their accomplishment in volleyball but also for the love and Godly character that shines through them as they play.  read more…

Another of our fall season varsity teams is making its mark in the CIFSS playoffs.  Our varsity football team earned the Saints their first ever playoff victory, defeating Calvary Baptist 62-20. The team moves on to the second round and will take on Joshua Springs in Joshua Springs on Friday, Nov 11, at 7:00 P.M. read more…
