Kindergarten At Hillcrest
At Hillcrest Christian School, our elementary program begins in Kindergarten where your child will be nurtured, encouraged, and instructed in a safe Christ-centered environment with an emphasis on spiritual, social, emotional, and academic growth and learning. Recognizing that every child is uniquely gifted by God and learns in his or her own way, each day is composed of a wide variety of learning experiences. A combination of direct and differentiated instruction and hands-on self-directed learning through centers engage young learners. Core subjects include Bible, phonics-based reading and language, math, science, and social studies. Kindergartners also attend weekly elementary chapel and classes in art, music, computer, Spanish, and P.E.
Your child will also experience chapel/study buddies, family groups, 100th Day of School celebration, Dr. Seuss Day, field trips, and International Day, as well as school-wide fun family events.

We love the education and that Christ is the center of all that is taught. The relationships that the teachers create with their students is priceless. We love that the teachers and staff are all on the same page with us as in what we want for our children. We love that there is so much love and mentoring there, it is a family.Nanci Scully
