Greeting From The Principal
Welcome to Hillcrest Christian School!
My name is Jessica Navarro and I have been privileged to serve the Hillcrest Christian School community for the past 19 years. After earning my degree from California Lutheran University, the Lord brought me to Hillcrest to teach Spanish and algebra at the high school level. At the time, I had no idea how God would allow me to grow and develop as an educator. It was through these years of teaching and mentoring my students that I discovered my true calling, which is Christ-centered discipleship through academic excellence. Hillcrest has truly become a second home for me as all three of my children have attended since preschool! As a parent, I am beyond thankful for the Spirit-filled guidance and academic instruction my children have received from Christ-centered teachers, coaches and staff. My husband and I consider the Hillcrest community an extension of our own family, and we believe it is an honor to serve the school in any way that we are called. |
My heart continues to grow deeper in love with Christ as I have personally witnessed him work in and through the lives of our Hillcrest families throughout the years. As Principal of Hillcrest, I consider it a privilege to partner with our amazing staff and families to ensure that each student receives an excellent education, along with an accurate picture of who they are as a child of the King!
I look forward to welcoming you into our Hillcrest family!
Blessings!
Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Hillcrest Christian School provides an excellent Christ centered educational experience for students infant through 12th grade. We are a covenantal Christian school, which makes us unique in the Conejo Valley. Covenantal means we partner with families that have already established a Christian home, attend a Christian church, and desire to partner with a Christian school. We believe it is absolutely the best situation for our students to receive the same message from church, home and school. This arrangement also helps our students find friends from families with similar values, morals and beliefs as your family.
Our Mission |
Our Vision |
Hillcrest Christian School exists to serve the Christian community by providing high-quality Christian education and discipleship to develop well-rounded students who will impact this world for the Lord Jesus Christ through Biblical thought and action and a deep-rooted foundation in God’s Word.
|
Our vision is to develop and maintain an accredited, multiple-facility, interdenominational, community-wide, Christian school system for students in grades infant through twelfth grade. The school system will provide rigorous academic instruction that is faithfully integrated with a God-centered worldview, including a wide range of extra-curricular and athletic activities. Our goal is to disciple students to strengthen their personal relationships with the Lord Jesus Christ and develop their talents, abilities, and characters to impact this world for Him.

Inspiring Academic Excellence
“The teachers and staff at Hillcrest Christian School are dedicated to provide a high quality Christ-centered education with the goal that each student would be, “...equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe that each student has been given unique talents and gifts and we consider it both an honor and a privilege to partner with our families as we nurture and develop these God-given talents through rigorous academic courses, student-centered instruction and differentiation, and engaging extracurricular programs.
Your student is not simply a number at Hillcrest, but an image-bearer of God, created to accomplish amazing feats for His glory!” - Jessica Navarro

Hillcrest offers a solid foundation in good moral character with a basis in Judeo/Christian philosophy. Not just a religious philosophy, but in living a good, moral and serving life. Kids are encouraged to be their best, treat others with respect and kindness and to be a role model for others. They have taken extraordinary steps to insure that my child will be successful in the future and they encourage him to improve his character, his academics and his love of God and Country.
HCS Parent
For a small school, Hillcrest offers a lot. It is definitely a school worth looking into. Great sport program offering football, basketball, football, volleyball, track, cross country, cheer. Our kids have been involved with all of the above extra curricular activites as well as ASB, honors society, yearbook, drama and robotics. Hillcrest has helped them to have a well rounded, happy, and confident start. Friendly/supportive environment committed to preparing children for college and the years beyond.
HCS Parent
Hi, I am the Mom of 2 HCS Alumni. Both of our sons had an excellent experience at HCS ... both enrolled in Middle School and completed High School. Both had great academic experiences and were well-prepared for University and life. :) Both had great sport experiences at HCS and played sports at the college level, one of our sons played soccer for 4 years at the University. They were also involved in student leadership as well as on the Music Worship Team. The boys were both well prepared as they left HCS. We are SO grateful! I was also a very involved parent ... which was welcomed at every level. God blessed us so much during our years at HCS. We couldn't be more grateful! It was a wise choice for our family for sure!

A Community Call to Partner
For over 40 years, Hillcrest Christian has been a leader in academic excellence by offering distinctive programs in a nurturing Christ-centered environment. Our commitment to have a top-notch program with academic distinction has earned HCS high accolades. As this quest for excellence in all areas expands, it has created the urgent need to purchase a larger property in order to realize the vision of being a premier school in the Conejo Valley. This is an amazing opportunity for our school and the community overall. The projected completion date is the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
What Parents Are Saying...
The academics at Hillcrest are excellent!!My kids have already learned so much this year! What is truly astonishing and different about Hillcrest is that the staff, the teachers, the administration..... are incredible!! They truly have Jesus at the center of all they do and they truly know and invest in your child. I’ve never experienced a school that excels in every area before coming to Hillcrest.
