Welcome to Hillcrest Christian School! My name is Jessica Navarro and I have been privileged to serve the Hillcrest Christian School community for the past 19 years. After earning my degree from California Lutheran University, the Lord brought me to Hillcrest to teach Spanish and algebra at the high school level. At the time, I had no idea how God would allow me to grow and develop as an educator. It was through these years of teaching and mentoring my students that I discovered my true calling, which is Christ-centered discipleship through academic excellence. Hillcrest has truly become a second home for me as all three of my children have attended since preschool! As a parent, I am beyond thankful for the Spirit-filled guidance and academic instruction my children have received from Christ-centered teachers, coaches and staff. My husband and I consider the Hillcrest community an extension of our own family, and we believe it is an honor to serve the school in any way that we are called. My heart continues to grow deeper in love with Christ as I have personally witnessed him work in and through the lives of our Hillcrest families throughout the years. As Principal of Hillcrest, I consider it a privilege to partner with our amazing staff and families to ensure that each student receives an excellent education, along with an accurate picture of who they are as a child of the King! I look forward to welcoming you into our Hillcrest family! Blessings! Jeremiah 17:7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” |

Assistant Early Education Director

Hello Hillcrest Families, My name is Jessica but your children know me as Mrs. Cleaver. I am the Early Education and Preschool Assistant Director here at Hillcrest Christian. I have over 15 years of teaching and administrative experience in the Conejo Valley in addition to Early Education and Administration instruction through Moorpark Community College. My husband, Scott, and I were born and raised in this beautiful community and we are excited to now be raising our son here as well. Our 5-year-old son, Parker, is getting ready to start Kindergarten. As a family we love going on adventures, spending time together whether it be camping and hiking or just enjoying the outdoors. My goal as an administrator is to always provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment in which children feel free to explore and experience the world around them. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and I feel so blessed with the opportunity to get to know you, your children, and to be a mentor to the Hillcrest teaching staff. My Favorite Bible Verse is 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. |

Campus Pastor

“The Spiritual Life at Hillcrest” My Name is Pastor Joshua Camper, and I am the Campus Pastor for Hillcrest Christian School. I truly count it an honor and a blessing to Partner with Heaven to serve the Students, Families, Staff, and surrounding community here at Hillcrest Christian School. Spiritual Life is the foundation of Hillcrest Christian school. We understand that life is about relationships. Here at Hillcrest, our student’s relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is of utmost importance (John 17:3). Our heart and mission for our students is not only for them to grow in a loving relationship with Jesus, but also for that relationship to impact every environment our students enter (Matt. 5:16). We don’t simply aim to fill our school’s seats with students but to fill our students with JESUS that they may be “complete and equipped for every good work”. We aim to know Jesus and make Him known in fulfillment of the “Great Commission”. Several of the ways we fulfill this mission is by ingraining a biblical worldview in all our academics, weekly chapels that are centered around worship, God’s word, fellowship, and prayer (Acts 2:42). We are intentional with small discipleship groups which provide intimate opportunities for our students to develop their gifts, talents and further equip them for their mission field. Furthermore, our school retreats, outreach programs, mission trips, and leadership training provide a variety of opportunities to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. My heart’s desire and passion as the Campus Pastor are to co-Labor alongside our Hillcrest Staff, Students, Families, and surrounding community to help disciple, equip, and send our students out into the world to win souls for the Kingdom of God. We know and trust that God can do exceedingly and abundantly beyond all we could ask or think according to the power that works in us. With the Love of Christ Jesus, Pastor Joshua Camper |
