Preschool Teacher Favorite Verse: Isaiah 40:31 "But they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Education Background: I attended Biola University for two years and then completed my BA in Child Development at California State University Los Angeles. Educational Experience: My experience all began as an aide in a Resource Room working with the Resource Specialist. I was then offered the job teaching 4th - 8th grade girl's PE and coaching after school sports. I did this until 1990. I took a break for several years while staying at home with my two young children. In 1997 I was hired at HCS to teach 1st grade through high school PE. This became my home for the next twelve years. In 2012 God called me to a new adventure - I began teaching 2 - 4 year olds at different preschools in the Conejo Valley. In 2022, I returned to HCS to continue my career working with little kiddos. All About Me: I love to teach because I have a heart for young kids, whether it is in a Christian School or a Public School. I have the opportunity to have an impact on children and show them Jesus' love through my words and actions. I am constantly reminded of Jesus' words "suffer the little children to come unto me..." My husband and I have been married for 37 years and we have a son and a daughter who have been a very special blessing - especially the past couple of years. My "happy place" is on Lake Shasta on our boat or at the beach. I love eating out, but I also enjoy cooking and making my favorite dessert. |
