Educational Background:
  • BA in Art (emphasis in Graphic Design), minor in Advertising from SDSU
  • Held Master Teacher and Site Supervisor Permits
  • Over 120 ECE units
  • Currently enrolled in the Multiple-Subject Credential and Masters in Education program at GCU

Educational Experience: I began teaching in the Early Childhood Education world in 2010 and have worked with a range of ages from infants to TK - from public school to corporate child care and then on to a faith-based school where I taught in the toddler and infant programs for a combined 3.5 years. I have been here at Hillcrest Christian School since 2021 and began in the Kindergarten program in 2022. 

All About Me: I was born and raised here in Ventura County in a very faith-filled family. I myself attended faith-based schools from 1st grade through 12th grade, and understand and have witnessed the amazing foundation these schools help families provide for their children. 
Outside of school, my days are filled with activities with my family and friends. We enjoy watching sports, playing board games, and occasional day trips around Southern California.

Kindergarten Program

Kindergarten is a very important and exciting time in your child’s formal education. HCS offers a creative approach to an exceptional Kindergarten program. Our program instills the love of learning and rigorous academics and our students have proven to be above national norms.

While our emphasis at HCS will always be on spiritual development and academic excellence, our Kindergarten teachers also work tirelessly on developing your child’s social and emotional intelligence with a focus on conflict resolution and independence.

Some of the activities throughout the year include: Grandparents’ Day,  Christmas Program, Dr. Seuss Day, 100 Days of School Celebration, International Day, and Graduation Ceremony.

Weekly Chapels: Lead worship throughout the year and be matched with a Chapel Buddy from 6th Grade.

Field trips include: Painted Pony Farm, In-school visits from Firefighters, Police, and Paramedics, Plays, and additional trips to be arranged based on availability and subject matter.
