Favorite Verse: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Educational Background I received a certificate in Christian Discipleship from Columbia Bible College in British Columbia. I then received my undergraduate degree from California State University Northridge with a BA in Liberal Studies/Elementary Education. I went on to receive the degree of Master of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University. Educational Experience I began my educational career on the mission field in South Africa, where I lived and worked for seven years. I worked as a Resource Specialist and Remedial Teacher in a rural village in the Limpopo province. I then went on to direct Outdoor Education Camps in the city of Cape Town. Upon returning to California, I entered the early childhood field and taught preschool and transitional kindergarten for four years. I began teaching at Hillcrest as a Resource Specialist in 2021. I teach reading and math intervention classes at the elementary level. I also provide support to neurodivergent students at the elementary and secondary levels. All About Me I have a passion for leadership and a love for teaching. I am a missionary at heart and take great joy in sharing the love and Word of Christ with children. It is a privilege to partner with families and serve each child, with their own beautiful and unique giftings. My prayer is that every student and parent will feel loved, supported, and well-equipped this school year and the years to come. I have been married for twelve years and have a daughter who attends Hillcrest’s Preschool. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, serving in our local church, and spending time with family and friends. |
